Just finished The Overspent American by Juliet Schor. She provides much of the research, surveys, and data that support an objective point-of-view of perilous spending of money you don't really have and how us humans are so vulnerable to traps of spending and keeping up appearances.
I have chosen a life of voluntary simplicity since 2005 and I love my life. I feel incredibly free from the past and the encroaching marketers and media.
